DIY smiles

construction man with a wonderfully cheesy grin and a thumbs up

I was having kind of a crappy day, and happened to be in our local home improvement store. Rounding a corner I met another, also beleagured, do-it-yourselfer. They were pushing a door on a cart, talking to their delightfully engaging small child that was riding politely along:

*heavy sigh* Yeah, we’re putting a new door in…

Then that moment of eye contact where we successfully avoided a crash, I grinned and said:

That’s okay. You’ll get through it.

Pause.

Then belly laughter. (From them, then me.)

That totally turned my day around. And dare I wonder about theirs…?

As I continued on to the checkout, I realized that I had been holding onto thoughts that continued to contribute to my less-than-awesome day. Looking down at the toilet seat in my hands, I decided then and there that I woudn’t stand for it…

Did you catch the other wordplay humor references…?

Three consciousness levels go walking into a bar…

Okay, I’m betting that we’re pretty aware of how multiple people can be together at the same time in a situation or event and yet each have very different experiences. For example, siblings growing up in the same household. Or a group of friends going to a movie. Or just clowns.

Let’s look at this through the lenses of consiousness levels in a very specific area — the news media.

Remember — no level is better or worse than another one, it’s simply where a person – including ourself – is at in that moment.

A synopsis of consciousness evolution

Pokemon character evolution

I’m playing more and more with this whole movement from 3D, through 4D, to 5D — and back again, and through, and around. It’s interesting to notice each of these lenses, and it’s absolutely everywhere.

As a reminder: 3D is form, 4D is energy, 5D is consciousness. (Yah, that’s totally a nugget of a nugget description... Thus, my continued Aha learning!) And remember, none of these are better or worse than another, they are simply windows and mirrors of where we are looking at a given situation at that time.

Here are some other synopsis exampledescriptions of 3D-4D-5D consciousness that have been coming up for me. Think of yourself in various situations. Do you relate to any of these?

Human doing. Human being. I Am.

Resistance. Reaction. Responsiveness.

Polarity. Connection. Realization.

Force, or flow?

deep green gorge with a little river running through it

I’ve been observing more in my life lately about force versus flow. Making things happen, or letting them unfold. My time frame, or a greater scheme going on here. Getting sh*t done, or allowing it to yet gestate into its own fullness. 3D, or 4D consciousness.

Case in point — I have some smoked salt to share with the neighbors. (Seriously, that’s life-changing stuff. Try it!) And… It’s been sitting here, waiting for me to take it over to them, for longer than I care to specify here. (It’s salt. It’s not expiring.)

What if I made the effort to deliver it? And stopped waiting for a good time to do so? Because clearly there just never is a good time, a time where I’ve got nothing else going on. Oh, but relationships over work, right…?

But then, what about this whole force versus flow thing?

Oh.

What if me getting to the point of Just Freaking Do It Already (force) is actually a part of the unfolding, of it all (flow)?
