Some years ago a passing acquaintance told me, “Oh my God, Gina, not everything has meaning!”

(Yeah. They had just met me.)

My immediate, full-body, internal response awareness was, “Are you kidding me? Everything has meaning!”

And now I understand more about why.

The difference is, I used to seek some hidden existing meaning. Now I know that I’m the one who creates it.

We are the creators within our own creations. We are the magic. Wands up, everyone!

Consciousness evolution, in three phases

I’ve been learning about consciousness, and how we are moving through evolution into higher levels. Specifically, 3D, 4D, and 5D. This is happening to humanity on a group level, because it’s happening more and more on an individual one.

First let’s look at a nugget descripton of each of these. Once we’ve got the basic gist of it, we can then choose how we wish to move through life based on each of these levels of consciousness.

*SPOILER ALERT* None of these levels of consciousness are inherently better than another, simply different. The point is, we get to choose that which we want for ourselves in any given situation. The gift? When we don’t like what we chose (you know, when we feel kind of crappy), now that we are aware, we can simply choose again!

Oh, and Part Two of the spoiler? It’s not linear; we move back and forth through them all. So please, let’s not beat ourselves up for when we “slip” “back” to what we think we have already overcome. It’s a journey!

Okay, here we go —

The art of practicing life

What if your practice is an art form…
Not a path, but an expression.

Elena brower

Creation, without an agenda.

Manifesting, simply to create.

For the sheer joy of it.

Art for art’s sake: what’s your art of life? Singing? Writing? Drawing? Making noruishing meals? Having a light heart and spreading happiness? Really listening to others? Providing a grounding influence and stability?

I’d ask you how you might practice this, today… Yet I already know that you are simply an ongoing expression of it.

Keep being that. We need you.

And thank you.

Sometimes you just need a smile

This rare bird sighting happened only days ago, on the other side of the lake. We believe the sunny and warm conditions were favorable for it to come out of hiding. It stayed around for quite some time, but it is unclear whether this bird was feeding, preening, or both. Although solitary, it was quite showy and friendly and put on a very fine display.

Of note: we did enjoy a one-time sighting last year of this species, although that bird was larger and on a different part of the lake. Additionally, last year’s was sighted out in open water whereas this year’s seemed to prefer the shoreline. Maybe this one is a fledgling and the other an adult? Perhaps the habitat is expanding? Maybe next year one will take up residence by us…

The story becomes what it is that we tell

Our life is our story. No one creates our own story but us. We tell it ourselves, others simply reflect that back to us.

I’ve never been good with plants.

I trip over four-leaf clovers.

This time of year is overwhelmingly busy.

I make time to relax and connect with loved ones each day.

She is chronically late.

I can tell that he consistently does small, intentional things to make my life better.

Are you defined by your adversities, or by overcoming them? Do you assign greater significance to what happens in your life, or to how you feel about it along the way? As Tara Schuster notes, are you a victim, or a Viking? I wonder, is there a middle way? (A viewer, perhaps?)

Oh I’m such an idiot.

I’m certainly not gonna let THAT happen again.

Well, that was a surprisel!
