Oh my goodness, we had SUCH fun last week at our first writing playground event! A huge thank you to Tia for providing the space and deliciousness for us to enjoy Write & Sip. Immense gratitude for those present and participating. Another such gathering is in the works!

For those who couldn’t make it, here is a quick creative writing play game for you:

Do you play the free NYT Daily Wordle? I cannot successfully move through my day without it! Here’s a fun way to create a writing jump-starter after you’ve finished solving the puzzle (or not!).

  • take all of your word guesses
  • and the puzzle solve word
  • weave them together in one short piece
  • write for three minutes
  • do not stop, keep your pen/cil moving

For example, here is a screenshot of my Wordle process for today:

Based on this, I write for three minutes using the words irate, ranch, karma, valor, and savor.

In fact, why not try one sentence, using all five words?!? Please share yours in the comments below!!

What is this going to be about? Who the heck knows what might come through!

Hope you have fun with this! And lastly, here is some writing humor for you.

Writing regularly just makes blogical sense.

And although I’m not seeking any incentive or promo, I think this is hugely and hilariously appropriate as a WordPress ad!
