Dreams, not deficiencies

Is there something in your life that you are dissatisfied with? Do you wish for more, in some area?

If you’re looking through the lens of possibility, these are called dreams. And they’re awesome.

On the other hand, if you are lookng at those same things as problems, they’re called deficiencies. And now they’re painful.

It’s absolutely good to want more. To grow. To expand. But to focus on the fact that you don’t have it, rather than on the joy you will feel from it, misses the entire point.

Which is to feel good about the things we want and why we want them, as we move toward them. (And if you think about it, they pretty much all boil down to love, joy, happiness, and peace. What an awesome state for all!)

So how does a divine soul having a human experience (PS, that’s each one of us) begin to move toward this?

Which state do you live in?

If we’re trying to solve problems, we will be given problems to solve.

We will live in problem state.

If we’re curious and hold a state of wonderment, we will be given possibilities to explore.

We will live in possibility state.

The thing is, our externals haven’t really changed — we have.

And now, so has our actual reality.

Giving thanks

Perspective shift

I don’t know about you, but for all my naturally positive attitude sometimes I just need a spiritual kick in the butt. Apparently today is that day, because Holy Wow did the above image rock me.

Yup. It’s a needed reset. I had not realized I was becoming bogged down with that Other Stuff.

The interesting thing for me is that although I have a daily gratitude journal (which I love and highly recommend), this specific focus on what is actually working seems to be exactly the reminder I need in the face of, well, the current seemingly many opposites of that.
