Life, Itself

I watched a movie the other day called “Life, Itself.” At one point a character in it had an Aha moment about story writing and life:
- Our lives are our stories, and become told as we live them out.
- The narrator tells our story. Due to varying perceptions, both between and within individuals, the idea is made that we all are an Unreliable Narrator .
- Life unfolds and occasionally throws us curve balls.
- Life itself is actually the unreliable narrator.
To get the details better, go watch the movie. My point here is that I was really struck with how, basically, shit can happen no matter how you are otherwise writing your story. I mean the knock-your-world-off-its-axis-there-is-no-going-back kind. Except that perceived another way, it is possible that it could actually end up to be an unforeseen, potentially beautiful memoir.
