One simple action, SO much abundance!

I recently discovered a simple, new way to start my day that it is making a huge positive difference in my life. I absolutely recommend it to anyone. And everyone!

It takes five seconds. You don’t even have to get out of bed first. In fact, it’s actually important that you don’t!

For a radical re-shift toward daily ease and joy, try this miraculously simple gratitude action:

Begin your day first by thinking about what you are grateful for, rather than considering what your day ahead looks like.

I used to take a good-natured look at what I needed to do today, first. In fact, productivity and success practices will tell you to do this. It’s not a bad way to go, really, and it has served me incredibly well throughout my life.

However, I now stop myself when my first thoughts upon waking turn gently toward what I hope, want, and need to accomplish today: connect with this client, create the next module in that online course, get groceries. And I immediately begin listing things that I am grateful for : my divine gift of a husband, my dearly loved friend, my son’s delightful new beginning, the big-dog kisses nosed up under the edge of my blankets and into my unsuspecting face. This new approach is not a bad way to go, really, and it is fast-tracking me into peace, grace, flow, rhythm, and balance. Which serves me incredibly well in my life.

Don’t get me wrong, I still do take a look at my upcoming day. Just no longer before even getting out of bed. (It seems to work just as well in the shower or over coffee, if not better for the new gratitude foundation that is set.)

You’ve heard how powerful gratitude is. Now here’s a simple way to get your gratitude on. Before you even get out of bed.

So, yes — do this between the sheets. 😉

Thank you for everything. I have no complaints whatsoever.

Begin your first thoughts tomorrow with gratitude, and notice how your day is different. Practice this for three days, and be amazed at what changes. Make it a habit, and experience unimaginable abundance and joy.
