Practice joy

It’s easy to respond with joy when something amazingly awesome happens to me.

The sun is out today! The package I’ve been waiting for arrived! The bears are back! A great catch-up visit with a dearest friend! I totally rocked it with my work project today! A Sessions concert of my favorite band, right in my living room!

Welcome back, from the kitchen window!

But… What about the times when something fabulous is not occurring?

Tom Evans, Supercharge Your Morning

Spring is a great time to expand ourselves. Stretch our self-set limits. And to put our ideas into movement.

What do we tell ourselves we will do “one day?” What interests or hobbies do we say we’ll take up “when we have time?”

Finding a new job. Creating a garden. Expanding learning on a topic of interest. Renovating the bathroom. Seeking out new recipes. Moving house. Clutter clearing.

Is it time for you to move your dreams from thoughts into reality?

Say Yes to yourself.

And mean it.

Then, do something about it.

You got this.

Now, go for it.

Maximum capacity

The other day my husband and I were watching some show, and one character says to another, “I’m thinking about retiring.” To which the other character, a work colleague, replies, “From WHAT?!?”

And we laughed really hard and out loud together!

Because who hasn’t been in the situation of comparing workloads in a given moment, whether out loud or in your head?

Online Writing Seminar, Take Two — A Spring Gift for You!

With the arrival of Spring, we begin to look past our natural winter hibernation. Here in northern Minnesota it’s presently a bit of the in-between: birds and critters are starting to move about, while we still await signs of green growth. Yet everything points toward revitalization as we expectantly place our outdoor chairs back onto the deck and watch the show.

At this time of year we start to grow and move ourselves once again, too. Maybe we look toward our tried and true pastimes that bring us joy, or perhaps new interests are sparked in us. Either way, it sure feels good to perk up and feel excitement and anticipation again!

With that in mind, I’d like to share another Becoming An Author writing seminar! Last July was such great fun for everyone that we’re offering another one, and it’s in a couple of weeks!

This free event has a very limited number of seats still available. We had actually closed the registration back in January due to the workshop being so full. But my Zoom room can hold a few more so I’m opening ‘er up! Anyone who registers beyond our attendance capacity will not be able to participate live and will be put on a wait list, but I’ll still send you the recordings. Check out the tab at the top of this page for the “Becoming An Author” Writing Seminar if it is of interest to you, we’d love to see you join us!
