Travel wealth
Our lives are enriched with travel. Travel gets us out of our routines, out of our established zones of structured, expected, prescribed living. Travel expands our ideas and thinking, allowing us to see and experience other ways of living, thinking, and being.
Still choosing from there what we want for our own lives, but now from a wider awareness of options and compassion.
With that approach, travel becomes redefined. Oh sure, it can be international globe-hopping. Or maybe it’s visiting national and state parks. It can even be going to visit your cousins Eddie and Catherine. But in this light of what travel is, what if we expanded our idea of travel to include our daily lives as well?
Remember, travel gets us out of our routines and righteousness zones. Out of our unconscious thinking that there is one best way: the way that we have been living it.
So… Take a different route to the grocery store. Heck, go to a different grocery store. If you wait until your gas tank is near empty to fill, try filling when you are a quarter tank low, instead. Conversely, if you fill at a quarter tank low, try a new way and fill at a quarter tank full. Either way, stop at every new gas station in town until you’ve experienced them all, rather than go to your tried and true spot each time.
If you commute to work, turn off the radio and look for something new on your route that you haven’t noticed before. Play the license plate game with yourself. Notice the sky. Watch for interesting animals. Smile at other drivers. Drop your cruising speed by 2-3 mph and see how that makes you feel. Sit with that change for a few miles before deciding whether to change back or not.
Soften our hard-won edges. Observe other ways. Open our minds and hearts. DIscover.
Travel helps us in this.
We are rich, indeed.
Travel well, my friend.
Looking at abundance, wealth, and richness is about throwing away our lack-covered glasses.
Wow, this is the kind of life I want to be living.
Your Own Self, in your current life.
