I love this for the words, “(what) would you like to live again?” That is very different than “do-over.”
It’s not only about looking back and seeing what I’d fix. It’s also about reliving what was pleasant. And honoring what was awesome. What other fabulous choices could I make in my mind, for other bouts of pleasant awesomeness?
It’s like going back and re-reading a Choose Your Own Adventure story, and this time playing with different choices. Selecting different moves. And infinite varieties of combinations of choices and moves. The final story is more complete for having fully explored diverse options.
What is a pleasant memory? What is something awesome that you recall? With great compassion for yourself, what is a memory you might consciously relive differently in order to heal it?
